Our Focus on Education

“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.” — Colossians 3:23 (NIV)

Reflection:

There is an old story about a traveler who came upon three bricklayers working in a dusty field. He asked each one, “What are you doing?”

The first looked up with a scowl. “I’m laying bricks,” he grumbled.

The second paused, wiped his brow, and said, “I’m building a wall.”

But the third stopped, smiled, and said proudly, “I am building a great cathedral.”

Education is much like that story.

It is easy to approach a math problem, a history essay, or a science lab and see only the “bricks”—the facts to memorize, the grades to earn, the boxes to check. But a Christian perspective on education reminds us that we are not just learning facts; we are building a cathedral.

We are building character. We are uncovering the order of a universe spoken into existence by a loving Creator. We are learning to think critically so that we might love God with all of our minds (Matthew 22:37).

Whether you are struggling through a difficult textbook, helping your child with phonics, or preparing for a final exam, remember this: The process is the purpose.

God cares about the diligence, the curiosity, and the integrity you bring to the desk. He cares about the patience you show when a concept is hard and the honesty you show when no one is watching the test. Your education is not merely a ticket to a career; it is a workshop where God is shaping you into a person who can steward His world and serve His people.

Prayer:
Lord, forgive me for the days when I see only the bricks and not the cathedral. Change my perspective. When I am tired or frustrated with learning, remind me that I am ultimately working for You. Grant me a spirit of excellence, curiosity, and joy. Help me to see every equation, every sentence, and every experiment as an opportunity to worship You, the source of all truth. Amen.

You want to succeed, surround yourself with the right kind of people who will support and encourage you all the way. Be with people who have utmost conviction and patience. The battle is never lost until you’ve abandon your vision. But what if you’re really exhausted physically, mentally, and most of all emotionally? Here are some sources of motivation to prompt you in reaching the peak of accomplishment.

“Success is the result of perfection, hard work, learning from failure, loyalty, and persistence”

Let me share with you one of my favorite quotes, as stated in that quote, there are three key factors to achieve massive success in your life:

Urban life in the city

Never ever think of giving up. Winners never quit and quitters never win. Take all negative words out of your mental dictionary and focus on the solutions with utmost conviction and patience. The battle is never lost until you’ve abandon your vision.
